Our Policy
Recycling
As well as recycling as much of the waste produced by our office as possible, Greenlane Archaeology makes use of several recycled products, including stationery such as files, wallets and even CD cases supplied by the Green Stationery Company. All of the paper used is recycled or from sustainable sources, down to the compliments slips and business cards.
Ethical finances
Greenlane Archaeology uses the Co-operative Bank for its finances. The Co-operative Bank was the first – and is still the only – high street bank in the UK to introduce an Ethical Policy. Greenlane Archaeology uses Naturesave for its insurance, whose aim is to encourage the adoption of more environmentally aware trading practices in the business community by using the insurance industry as a vehicle for sustainable development.
Resources
At Greenlane Archaeology, we are very keen to minimise any detrimental effect that we may have on the environment. We have discovered that one of the most straightforward and effective ways to reduce our office’s impact on climate change is to use renewable electricity. Therefore, we are signed up to Good Energy, the only supplier to supply nothing but 100% renewable electricity to homes and businesses around mainland Britain. If you generate your own renewable electricity, they may be able to help you out, too. Make a difference; sign up today. It's quick, straightforward, and effective, and they’re nice people to boot! Visit www.good-energy.co.uk or phone 0845 456 1640.
Greenlane Archaeology also uses the Phone Co-op for its telephones, a consumer co-operative run by its own customers and run solely for their benefit rather than making money for outside investors.
Besides using the environmentally conscious companies already listed, Greenlane Archaeology makes use of several local shops and companies for environmental reasons, but also in order to help support local businesses and the regional economy.
