Luneside East, Lancaster: Excavation Assessment
Greenlane Archaeology assisted with the finds assessment relating to an archaeological evaluation and excavation carried out by North Pennines Archaeology Ltd on the site of The Pothouse on St George’s Quay, Lancaster, in October 2007. A pottery was known from documentary evidence to have produced Lancastrian delftware at the site in the 18th century, but its products were largely unknown, and as such the site was highlighted as being of regional if not national significance.
